MICHAEL R. PALMER

Michael Raymond Palmer, 31, of St. Inigoes, Md., died on Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995, at the home of his parents.

Born on Jan. 7, 1964, at Washington, D.C., he was the son of Captain Robert Smith Palmer Jr., United States Coast Guard (retired), and the former Ethel Marie Porter of St. Inigoes, Md.

Mr. Palmer graduated high school in 1983 at Long Beach, Miss., and in 1988 received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studio Arts from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. He lived in the Chesapeake and Newport News areas of Virginia until he returned to his parents home in July of this year. He was a loan officer for Trans-South Financial Services of Newport News.

In addition to his parents, Captain and Mrs. Palmer, he is also survived by two sisters, Kathryn Gruber of Arlington, Va., and Karen Palmer of St. Inigoes; a paternal grandfather, Robert S. Palmer Sr. of Noank, Conn.; and a maternal grandmother, Flossie Porter of Quaker Hill, Conn.

Graveside services and interment will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 18, 1995, at 2 p.m. at Noank Valley Cemetery, Noank, Conn. The Rev. Lawrence Whitlock, pastor of First Baptist Church of New London, Conn., will officiate at the service.
