CLARENCE SMITH

Clarence Smith, of the 500 block of East Little Creek Road, died Sept. 28, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Smith, a retired X-ray technician, worked for Norfolk Community Hospital. Mr. Smith, a native of Norfolk, was a member of The Way of Truth COGIC, Norfolk. He was a member of the U.S. Army and involved in the Vietnam conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Smith; one daughter, LaTonya Smith of Norfolk; one step-daughter, Evangline Willis of Fairfax, Va.; one step-son, Gilbert Morris of Jacksonville, Fla.; his mother, Ethel Mae Smith of Norfolk; three sisters, Ethel Mae Smith of Norfolk, Betty James and Bobbi Jean, both of Chesapeake; four brothers, Ralph Smith, Dwight Smith, and Carl Smith, all of Norfolk, Aaron Smith of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Way of Truth COGIC, 2322 Maltby Ave., Norfolk, by Wilbert McNair. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will assemble at 6919 Bonnot Drive. Graves Funeral Home in charge.
