Laura Cobb ``Sissy'' Barnes, 27, of the 1200 block of Nansemond Parkway, died Oct. 6, 1995, in Obici Hospital.

Mrs. Barnes, a native of Portsmouth, was a homemaker. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, Suffolk, and the Shaw Sunday school class.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Samuel Barnes; one daughter, Sallie Kathleen Barnes of Suffolk; one son, Joshua Keith Barnes of Suffolk; her parents, Jean Cole Cobb and George Oliver Cobb, both of Suffolk; one brother, Sgt. Brian Keith Cobb of Clarksville, Tenn.; maternal grandfather, James Romen Cole of Portsmouth; and paternal grandmother, Lillian B. Cobb of Edenton, N.C.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Clyde Knuckles Sr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times in the home of her parents at 1208 Nansemond Parkway. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Magnolia United Methodist Church, 1764 Wilroy Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
