MARTHA S. ROSS

Martha Story Ross, 80, died on Oct. 13, 1995, in Norfolk.

Mrs. Ross, a native of Wise, N.C., was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church for many years. She was an avid bridge and salt water fishing enthusiast.

She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert Ross; the loving mother of Stanley H. Ross and his wife, Harriet; the cherished sister of Helen Poole of Decatur, Ga.; and the treasured sister of her adopted brother, Bobby Rudd of Norfolk. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Susan Platt and Eric Grunwald; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, Oct. 16, 1995, at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Larry Miles at Wise Cemetery, Wise. The family will receive relatives and friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her son.
