HERMAN SKYLES

Herman Skyles, of the 300 block of S. Main St., died Oct. 11, 1995, in Lake Taylor Hospital.

He was a native of Chesapeake and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake. He was an oil filler with Texaco Oil Company.

He is survived by one son, Jerome E. Skyles of Portsmouth; four sisters, Lillian Benson and Virginia Harrell of Norfolk; Mary Drake of Virginia Beach, and Virginia Williams of Chesapeake; brother, Willie A. Skyles of Chesapeake; grandson, Jerome Herman Skyles; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Jake Manley in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Sunday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence Monday at 10 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home in charge.
