Edward Henry Sutton went to heaven to be with our Lord on Nov. 1, 1995, at 4:30 a.m. from lung cancer. Passing on All Saints Day gives you a special entrance into heaven, Ed.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Anne Nichols of Alabama; his son, Ronald Paul Sutton of Virginia Beach; his son, Edward Arthur Sutton of Alabama; his grandchildren, Tracy, Crystal, Jeremy, Jason and Kimberly. He is also survived by a sister, Francine; and two brothers, Paul and Dick of Massachusetts.

He will be missed dearly by his beloved neighbors, Brenda, Courtney and Sybil Pendry, Charlie and Terri Runnells, Mildred Erwin, Mac, Shanks, Hattie, and the boys at Ocean View Golf Course.

He was a decorated World War II hero, and part of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was also a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Ocean View. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Post (NU)3160, the Fleet Reserve Association, 9601 Branch, and the American Legion.
