MARY E. NORDINE

Mary E. Nordine, died Nov. 8, 1995, in her residence, after a long and courageous fight with cancer.

She was a retired civil service contracting officer for the U.S. Government where she had worked for 38 years. She was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., and was the widow of Elbert H. Nordine.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Virginia Kirk and Guy of Alexandria, Va., and Cynthia J. Nordine and B.J. Berney of Virginia Beach; and one grandson, U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Joel W. Hendrickson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m Friday by the Rev. Paul D. Moore in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the National Hospice Organization. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
