ROBERT L. STEPHENSON

Robert Louis ``Bobby'' Stephenson, 64, of the 2100 block of Piedmont Ave., a retired craftsman, died Nov. 11, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center.

Mr. Stephenson was born in Portsmouth and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member and deacon of Mount Hermon Baptist Temple, where he was also a member of the Gospel Choir, Men's Chorus and a former member of the Male Usher Board. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Queen B. Stephenson; two stepsons, Stewart H. Alston Jr. and Wanda of Washington, D.C., Michael G. Baxter and Margaret of Glen Allen, Va.; three sisters, Marion S. White of Washington, D.C., Mildred S. Rountree of Portsmouth and Delores S. McCullough of Asbury Park, N.J.; a brother, Jesse W. Stephenson of Surry; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Mount Hermon Baptist Temple by the Rev. Leon J. Boone. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, with military honors. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Thursday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
