Eugene Thomas Bobitt, 74, formerly of Chesapeake, died Saturday in the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond.
Mr. Bobbitt was born in Henderson, N.C. and was the son of the late Talton L. and Bertha Freeman Bobbitt. He had retired from Seaboard Railroad after 37 years of service.
Survivors include his brother, Joseph F. Bobitt of Chesapeake; and his two sisters, Helen B. Parham of Chesapeake and Edith Caldwell of Florida.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by Dr. Roscoe A. Musselwhite. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at other times at 2001 Battery Park Road, Chesapeake.
