MARY J. WILLIAMS

Mary Jarvis Williams, 78, of Route 1, died Nov. 17, 1995, in her residence.

She was a native of Wallaceton, Va., and was the widow of Elwood Addison Williams. She was a member of Lake Drummond Baptist Church and the Lake Drummond Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by a daughter, June A. Pittman of Moyock; four sons, Larry A. Williams, Jack L. Williams and Phillip W. Williams, all of Chesapeake, and Jesse M. Williams of Moyock; three sisters, Fannie E. Byrd and Linna Ashley, both of Moyock, and Virginia Denton of Tarboro, N.C.; brother, Raymond Jarvis of Greenville, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a son, Elwood Lloyd Williams.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Frank Hughes Jr. in Lake Drummond Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, today from 4 to 5 p.m., and at the residence at all other times.
