Robert Leroy Lauver Sr., 58, of the 1000 block of Cherokee Road, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Lauver was a native of Bellwood, Pa. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898.
Survivors include his fiancee, Nancy L. Ewell of Portsmouth; three sons, Robert L. Lauver Jr. and Blair J. Lauver, both of Tampa, Fla., and Barry K. Lauver of Altoona, Pa.; four sisters, Clara M. McElwain of Kirkland, Ohio, JoAnn N. Moulton of Norfolk, Connie L. Lauver of Suffolk and Daryle J. Tomlinson of Edgewater, Fla.; six brothers, Alvin R. Coulter, Richard J. Lauver, David A. Lauver, all of Suffolk, William C. Lauver, Daniel P. Lauver, both of Portsmouth, and Glenn E. Lauver of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. J. Robert Bennett. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
