Thelma Lee Brown, 73, of the 3700 block of S. Military Highway, died Nov. 17, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mrs. Brown was born in North Carolina. She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church, Bowers Hill, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Woodley Brown Sr.; six sons, Woodley Brown Jr., Edward Brown, both of Portsmouth, Freddie Brown of Oklahoma, Ronnie L. Brown of Chesapeake, Dennis L. Brown of Fayetteville, N.C. and Ricky A. Brown of Norfolk; six daughters, Bettie J. Johnson of Chesapeake, Thelma B. Ricks of Fayetteville, Windy Crew of Durham, N.C., Gwendolyn Brown, Penny Harris and Loretta Harrell, all of Chesapeake; and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Little Zion Baptist Church, Bowers Hill, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Leonard King. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The family will receive friends at 3224 Tournament Drive in the Camelot section of Chesapeake.
