EDWARD E. RUTLEDGE

Edward E. Rutledge, 84, of the 300 block of Briarfield Drive, died Dec. 17, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Rutledge was born in Denver, Colo., and was retired from N.A.S. as an aircraft examiner. He was also retired as a national representative of AFG-American Federation of Government Employees. He was a charter member of Great Bridge Presbyterian Church and served as elder, deacon, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday School teacher and trustee. He was a member of Lake Drummond Masonic Lodge and other Masonic organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Fairy J. Rutledge; a daughter, Earlene Kinlaw and her husband, James, of Richmond; a son, Nolen E. Rutledge of Chesapeake; a brother, Walter E. Rutledge of Ventura, Calif.; five grandchildren, Gene Rutledge and Shannon Rutledge, both of Chesapeake, Jimmy Kinlaw and his wife, Lorrie Lee, of Chesapeake, Eddie and Elizabeth Kinlaw of Richmond.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Great Bridge Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John F. Payne, Ph.D. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Great Bridge Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
