PASSENGER TRAFFIC DOWN AT NORFOLK AIRPORT AGAIN

The 1995 passenger traffic slump at Norfolk International Airport continued in November despite the Thanksgiving holiday. Passenger activity at the airport fell 19 percent in November to 212,708 people. In November 1994, the airport saw 262,680 passengers. The decline can be attributed to the absence of the fare wars that marked the previous year and the withdrawal of many of Continental Airlines' flights after its low-priced Peanuts fares campaign fizzled. by CNB
