REFORM WELFARE

What is wrong with a welfare bill that sets a timetable for getting 50 percent of all welfare families to work within five years?

What is wrong with a welfare bill that sets a limit on how long somebody can receive welfare?

What is wrong with a welfare bill that requires teen parents to stay in school and live at home?

What is wrong with a welfare bill that encourages states to reduce out-of-wedlock births?

There must be some reason Congressman Owen Pickett, Sen. Chuck Robb and President Clinton do not wish to change the horrible system we have now. Perhaps they do not want to change anything unless it is perfect. Anything would be an improvement. They should do something. Then we can work on perfection.
