MARION V. TALBOT

Marion Virginia Talbot, 72, lost her 17 month battle with ovarian cancer on Dec. 28, 1995.

She was born in Great Bridge, Va., on Nov. 21, 1923, and resided in Texas for the past 19 years. She was a child care attendant in numerous local church nurseries for many years.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 41 years, Judson James Talbot; her parents, Flossie and Lloyd Doxey; a daughter, Rose Virginia; two sisters, Geneva and Elizabeth; and two brothers, Edward and Joseph. Survivors include her four children, James Edward Talbot of Katy, Texas, Carol Ann Smith, of Monroe, N.C., Mary Frances Brown, of Katy, Texas, and Michelle Renee Talbot, of Houston, Texas; and eight grand-children, Jimmy Smith Jr., David Smith, James Talbot Jr., Christine Talbot, Tom Smith, Tim Smith, Ginny Whiddon and Mary Ann Garza; four great-grandchildren, Jimmy Smith III, Christopher Smith, Michelle Renee Smith, and Hunter Cole Garza; brother, Clifton Lloyd Doxey of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 1995, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy, Texas with Rev. Ron McDonnell officiating. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Brown, Fred Kimmey, Robert Whiddon, Sam Garza, Steve Croon and Stephen Croon.
