LEONARD C. WELCH

Leonard C. ``Mickey'' Welch, 86, died Feb. 28, 1996, in Virginia Beach.

He was a retired electrician for the Department of the Navy. Mr. Welch was the widower of Verena E. Welch and a native of Baldwin, Ill. He was active with the First Presbyterian Church in Baldwin. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose (NU)39, and member of I.B.E.W.

He is survived by his son, John, and his wife, Margaret Welch, of Virginia Beach; sister, Peggy Kaegel of Belleville, Ill.; three brothers, Jack and his wife, Jean Welch of Timonium, Md., Lloyd Welch of Austin, Minn., and H.B. ``Happy'' Welch of Shawnee Mission, Kan.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday by Dr. Paul C. Lawson in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
