BEARL W. MCRARY

Bearl W. McRary, 82, of Drum Creek, quietly slipped away to be with the Heavenly Father on March 4, 1996.

``Mr. Mac,'' a native of Lenoir, N.C., was a retired general contractor and custom builder. He was a charter member of Taylor Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Zell T. McRary; his daughter, Glenda J. McRary and her husband, William Pitt, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; his two sons, Jack G. McRary and his wife, Shirley, of Hamlet, N.C., Douglas E. McRary and his wife, Linda, of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. March 6, 1996, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. James H. Tew. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers' Association.
