LOUISE T. CRETER

Louise Taylor Creter, of the 4400 block of Gannon Road, died March 3, 1996.

Mrs. Creter, the widow of Jesse Douglas Creter, was a native of Weirwood, Va., and lived in the Hampton Roads area all of her life. She was retired from the Data Processing Department at Norfolk Naval Air Station. She was a member of Court Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth, The Ruth Bible Class, and treasurer of the Woman's Missionary Union for over 40 years.

Survivors include a son, Roger Douglas Creter, and his wife, Anne, of Portsmouth; a sister, Emily T. Shufflebarger of Hampton; two granddaughters, Nancy Paige Pugh and Robin Anne Hall, both of Portsmouth; and two great-grandchildren, Travis Pugh and Jessica Hall.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Court Street Baptist Church by Dr. L. Wilbur Kersey. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at 3902 Winchester Drive, Portsmouth.
