LYNN HOWARD

Lynn ``Red'' Howard, 71, died March 4, 1996, at a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mr. Howard, a retired carpenter and a native of Provo, Utah, worked for 40 years. He was the widower of Mary Louise Howard and a 50-year member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge (NU)400 in Aurora, Ill. He was a member of the American Legion and a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II as a Seabee.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Hare and her husband, Bill of Elburn, Ill., Sandy Smid and her husband, Bob, of Virginia Beach; a son, John R. Howard and his friend, Yvonne of Elburn; a sister, Uvada Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, La Von Farrimond and his wife, Norma, of Salt Lake City, Ralph Schleifer of Elburn; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Gordon Neeham and his wife, Elaine, of Kaneville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is in charge. The body will be sent to Conley Funeral Home in Elburn for services and burial. Memorial donations may be made to Creeds Volunteer Rescue Squad.
