AUSTIN KING JR.

Austin King ``Jr. King'' Jr., 69, of the 1100 block of Darren Drive, died March 6, 1996, at Mary-view Hospital.

Mr. King, a retired supervisor, worked for Sadler Materials, Inc. He was a native of Mount Airy, N.C., and a member of New Testament Church, Portsmouth, where he was a deacon and a member of the usher board.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn King; two daughters, Patricia King Smith of Chesapeake, Elena Garrett of Stockton, Calif.; a son, Austin King III of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two aunts, Mrs. Velma Dodd of Hampton, Katherine Dodd of New York; and a uncle, Monroe Dodd of Mount Airy.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at New Testament Church by Pastor Charles H. Bowens. Burial with military honors will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be at Riddick Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 12:30 p.m. Monday for the procession to the church. T.E.
