Chester E. Spencer, 73, of the 100 block of Lake St. died March 14, 1996 in a Chesapeake Hospital.
He was born in Hickory, Va. and was a retired Ironworker. He had been employed by the Local (NU)79 Ironworkers Union.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma L. Spencer; seven children; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel Sunday from 6-8 p.m.
