Mirko ``Emerich'' Ploch, 60, a former resident of Wakefield, died March 18, 1996, in Newcastle, Wyo.
Mr. Ploch was born in Yugoslavia, the son of Karl and Anna Ploch. He served in the U.S. Army and owned and operated a home repair and remodeling business in Newcastle. He formerly owned and operated Southside Press, a print shop in Richmond.
He is survived by his mother, Anna S. Ploch Wells of Richmond; two sons, Mirko Joseph Ploch of Washington, D.C., Jeff Ploch of Chester; a daughter, Marianna Emily Samuel of Chester; a stepson, Paul Sharp, and a stepdaughter, Paula Sharp, both of Newcastle; a sister, Josephine Owney of Suffolk; four grandchildren, Shawn Samuel, Ryan Samuel, Jimmy Shepherd and Leesha Shepherd. He was the father of the late Michael Joseph Ploch.
A funeral liturgy will be held at Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. by Father Carl DeSouza. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Wakefield. A vigil for the deceased will be held at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
