Alma M. Orr, 92, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died March 27, 1996, in Pottstown, Pa.
She was a retired vice-president and florist for Orr Seed Company. She was a native of Portsmouth and the widow of Richard S. Orr. She was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church where she was involved in the Laura Finn Bible Class. She was also a member of Daughters of the Nile.
She is survived by a daughter, Emerie Jean Ashworth of Pottstown; two sons, Richard Norman Orr of Wooster, Ohio and Donald L. Orr of Virginia Beach; sister, Audrey Shepherd of Portsmouth; brother, Robert Gay of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Francis E. Collins in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will be at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Missionary Fund of Park Place United Methodist Church.
