I.F. HADDOCK SR.

I.F. Haddock Sr., 81, a former 18-year resident of Virginia Beach, died March 26, 1996.

He was a retired real admiral in the U.S. Navy and served for 40 years. Born April 23, 1914, in Blairsville, Pa., he was the son of Leander G. and Iola (Turner) Haddock. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (Class of 1938) and Harvard with a MBA in 1951. He received the Distinguished Service Medal, Bronze Star, and Joint Service Commendation Medal.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married in June 15, 1940, Janet Vosper Haddock; two sons, I.F. Haddock Jr., Dustin L. Haddock both of Denver; daughter, Kathleen M. Sheeley of Valdosta, Ga.; four brothers, Dutch Haddock of Kentucky, Bob Haddock of Denver, Colo., Tom and Bill Haddock of Arizona; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard and sister, Helen.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. Swan-Law Funeral Directors, Colorado Springs is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 N. Union (NU)100, Colorado Springs, 80909.
