WILLIE S. HARRIS

Willie Sanderlin Harris, 72, died after a short illness on April 14, 1996.

Willie was born in Norfolk and graduated from Maury High School. She retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center and was married to the late Dewey Harris. She was a former member of the Lynnhaven Colony United Church of Christ. She moved from Virginia Beach to St. Louis in 1993.

Survivors include her brother, Paul Sanderlin of Norfolk; son, Tommy Harris of Manassas, Va.; daughter, Sandra Self of St. Louis; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Willie enjoyed writing poetry and short stories. Some of her works have been published. She will be long missed for her wit and humor. A memorial service was held in St. Louis.
