MARY J. DOZIER

Mary J. Dozier, of the 1400 block of W. 39th St., died April 27, 1996, in a local hospital.

She was a retired machine operator from Dixie Mfg. Co. Mrs. Dozier, the widow of William N. Dozier, was a native of Boykins, Va.

Survivors include a son, Larry Johnson of Norfolk; four sisters, Elsie Newell and Rosa M. Walker, both of Norfolk, Gladys Harrell of Portsmouth, Mary Parker of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Essie Johnson of Norfolk and Richard S. Pope of Brooklyn; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and a brother-in-law, William L. Harrell of Portsmouth.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at New Life Chapel by the Rev. Carl Vann. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
