FREDERICK A. HECKSTALL SR.

The Rev. Frederick A. Heckstall Sr., of 3504 Missouri Ave., entered eternal rest Friday, May 3, 1996.

He was predeceased by his biological parents, Annie and Humphrey Heckstall; mother, Mrs. Norvella Randall; brothers, Wallace and Morris Heckstall; son, Michael; and granddaughter, Startina. Left to cherish his memories are a devoted wife, Frances Barnes Heckstall; daughter, Joyce Heckstall Bracy; son, Frederick A. Heckstall Jr.; grandchildren, Akili, Hannibal, Freedom, Rainbow and Frances Bracy; father, Clyde Randall of Norfolk; sisters, Geraldine Thompson of Norfolk, and Florine of Chesapeake; several nieces, one devoted, Elsie Heckstall; several nephews, cousins, two devoted, Floyd and Rosa Wright; his extended family, Deacon Emmanuel Gray, Rev. Andrew Barker, Mary Harris and Ethel Eggleston.

His remains rest at W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Ave., Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in St. John's Baptist Church, Richmond, conducted by the Rev. Robert E. King, pastor, and the Rev. James Edwards, eulogist. Interment will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Glen Allen, Va. Remains will rest in the church one hour prior to the service.
