ELIZABETH STANCIL

Elizabeth Stancil, 90, of Richmond, formerly of Norfolk, died May 8, 1996.

Mrs. Stancil, the widow of Charles Stancil, was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, Norfolk. She was the daughter of the late Abby Hamilton and Bervin Hamilton.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. and Renee P. Stancil; their two children, Devon and Sharma; and a devoted friend, Dorothy J. Patterson, all of Richmond; a sister, Lucille Davis of New York; a stepson, Benjamin Stancil; two sons-in-law, Louis Washington of New Jersey and William Nelson of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her remains rest at Hale Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, at noon Tuesday. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. After 10 a.m. Tuesday the remains will rest at the above named church until hour of service.
