ALBERT JONES

Albert Jones, of the 300 block of W. 29th St., died May 14, 1996, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Jones, a native of Boydton, Va., retired from International Local Union 307. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Boydton.

Survivors include two sons; six sisters, Ida M. Womble of East Orange, N.J., Norma Jones of Newark, N.J., Evelyn Jones, Alveta Jones, V. Elizabeth Thompson, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Elizabeth Bryson of Boydton; three brothers, James Thomas Jones, Norman Jones, both of Boydton, and Harry Jones of Brooklyn; a granddaughter, Renee Green of Norfolk; other survivors and friends, Florine Bell of Norfolk, Jackie Bell of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday by Bishop Anthony Moses at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery, Boydton. The remains will be ready for viewing Saturday at 3 p.m. There will be a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence 10 a.m. Sunday for the procession.
