DWIGHT D. CULBERSON

Dwight Douglas Culberson, 72, of the 1600 block of Banning Road, died Saturday, May 18, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Culberson was a native of Langdale, Ala. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy for 24 years until his retirement. He then went to work for the city of Norfolk in the Tax Assessor's Office for 10 years until his retirement in 1986.

He was a member of Langdale United Methodist Church, Langdale, Ala., and a former member of the Little Creek Lions Club.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Virginia Harris Culberson; a daughter, Ginnie C. Kunz of Switzerland; two sons, Christopher H. Culberson and Timothy D. Culberson, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Bobby D. Culberson of Albany, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKendree United Methodist Church. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
