CORA R. STALLINGS

Cora Rountree ``Granny'' Stallings, 103, of Route 1, died May 19, 1996, in her home.

A native of Chowan County, she was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Stallings, and four sons, Clifton Stallings, Jethro Stallings, Howard Stallings, all of Belvidere, and Horace Stallings of Hobbsville.

Survivors include two daughters, Precilla S. Davis of Elizabeth City and Flay S. Dail of Hertford; two sons, Garland Stallings and Lewis Stallings, both of Belvidere; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Rountree/Stallings Family Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Hewitt. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garland ``Dick'' Stallings, Route 1, Belvidere. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of arrangements.
