Carol L. Stanley, 68, of the 1200 block of North River Dr., died June 8, 1996.
Born in Lewistown, Mont., she retired as a personnel specialist for Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Luther R. Stanley; two daughters, Sherry Coates of Chesapeake and Ginni Durham of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Michael Stanley and Oscar Stanley, both of Chesapeake; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell W. Stanley.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by the Rev. Paul H. Kube. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
