Mary E. Gordon, of the 6800 block of Silverwood Court, died June 7, 1996.
Born in Princess Anne County, she was a member of New Saint John A.M.E. Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include five daughters, Caretha Davis and Rosetta Lamb, both of Norfolk, Shirley Ramsey and Lena Parker, both of Virginia Beach and Brenda Cason Barlow of Norman Park, Ga.; a son, John H. Cason Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Marie Baker of Virginia Beach; a brother, Robert Gordon of Virginia Beach; 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New Saint John A.M.E. Church by the Rev. E.H. Terrell Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. The family will be at 1112 Gleaning Close, Virginia Beach.
