Patsy M. Griffin, 71, entered into eternal peace on Sunday Aug. 11, 1996.
She had resided at 642 Quail Ave. for 50 years and was married to the late Robert A. Griffin Sr. Mrs. Griffin was a member of the First Baptist Church Campostella and sang in the (NU)2 Choir. She was also a member of the Garland C. Pretlow Senior Citizens Club and the Jolly Ole Youth Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Griffin's family includes her children, Victoria G. Walker and family of Virginia Beach, Stacey Y. Carter and family of Hampton, Robert A. Griffin Jr. and family of Chesapeake, and Ray McNeal, whom she loved as a son, of Portsmouth; her grandchildren, LaDonna D. Walker-Holder and family of Virginia Beach, Renee, Robyn, Raevyn, Ulani, Michael and Brandon; her great-grandchildren, India, Jordan and Darryll Jr.; her brothers, Lewis Green and family, and Dennis Green and family, all of Virginia Beach; her sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Green, Edna Green, Mary Griffin and family, Ophelia Baker and family, Julia Griffin and Elizabeth Riddick and family; and a host of relatives, friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be conducted at First Baptist Church Campostella Thursday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Harold Cason. The family will receive friends at the residence of Patsy Griffin today from 5 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please give donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of our mother, Patsy M. Griffin. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is in charge.
