Phil S. Hamovit, 76, of the 3800 block of Holly Dune Lane, died Sept. 5, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Hamovit was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk. He was past president and trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Survivors include his wife, Judith C. Hamovit of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Janie H. Lauter of Virginia Beach; his grandson, Robert M. Lauter; and his step-granddaughter, Chelsie Darling.
A chapel service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman. Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
