Mrs. Vivian Barrow Brooks, 101, formerly of Alberta, Va., died Sept. 10, 1996.
Mrs. Brooks was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Also, she attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
She is survived by three children, Ellen B. Blackwell of Newport News, Edward Harrington Brooks Jr. of Courtland, and Nancy B. Blevins and her husband, David, of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren, William H. Blackwell, R. Barrow Blackwell, Carolyn Blackwell Carson, Elizabeth Brooks Jones, Laurie Blevins Zinni, Alison Blevins Wilson, Elizabeth Blevins McCombs and D. Clark Blevins; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bethel United Methodist Church, Alberta. Interment will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethal United Methodist Church, Alberta, Va. 23821.
