Mrs. Veteto was a native of Sunbury, N.C., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.W. ``Bud'' Hofler. She graduated from East Carolina University and received her master's degree in supervision from the College of William and Mary. She taught in North Carolina and Delaware before joining the Norfolk Public Schools. She taught at Granby Elementary and Little Creek Elementary before becoming principal at Tarralton Elementary. At the time of her retirement, she was principal of Larchmont Elementary. Mrs. Veteto was a member of the First View Baptist Church, where she served in the music department for many years.
Survivors include her son, Charles W. ``Bill'' Veteto of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Gerald Webb and the Rev. John Dean. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Sunday.
