Rodney S. Murphy, of the 400 block of Michael Irving Drive, died Sept. 17, 1996.
Born in Norfolk, Mr. Murphy was a Baptist and a member of the Peninsula AIDS Foundation.
Survivors include his sisters, Rhonda Faison and Debra Dawkins, both of Norfolk, Venita Long of Newport News, Valerie Leggett of Bethlehem, Pa., Mary Robinson of Gainesville, Fla.; and brothers, Robert Murphy, Frank Murphy, Gerald Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Kevin Yancey, Wendell Murphy and Shawn Murphy, all of Norfolk.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the home of Ms. Venita Long, 450 Michael Irving Drive, Newport News. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
