James L. ``Six Nine'' Gray, of the 5400 block of Sandpiper Lane died Oct. 7, 1996.
He was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie K. Gray; daughters, Gabrielle S. Gray and Ashley M. Gray, both of Norfolk; a son, James A. Gray of Norfolk; sisters, Andre D. Gray of Baltimore and Iris A. Gray of Spartanburg, S.C.; brothers, Michael K. Gray of Portsmouth and William T. Gray of Kingsland, Ga.; a grandparent, Mammie Gray of Spartanburg; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Sinai Church, 2813 Chestnut St., Portsmouth, by the Rev. Richard Sessiom. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
