Shirley Y. Sims, 53, of the 1400 block of Welcome Road, died Oct. 14, 1996.
She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Sims; two sons, Vincent Sims and Craig Sims; a brother, Welton Beard Jr.; eight grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Diane Beard; two nieces; a nephew; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Olive Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. J.B. Sharpe. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
