LUCILLE F. BRIGHT

Lucille Rebecca Freeman Bright, 84, of the 500 block of Tidewater Drive died peacefully Thursday Oct. 24, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A native of Norfolk County and the daughter of the late Miles and Ethel Freeman, Mrs. Bright was the widow of David Bright. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Powell-Porter, Gloria Jean Moore, Bessie Hollowell, Josephine Person and Davitria James; sons-in-law, Stephen Stirup, Dock Powell, William Hollowell, Arnette Person Sr. and James Gilliam; and a sister, Beatrice Lee. Her loving hands touched and nurtured 25 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Garden of Prayer Temple (NU)3, W. 28th St., Norfolk, by Elder Dan White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service, where the family will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
