Police are seeking public assistance in solving these cases:
VIRGINIA BEACH
Barbara Jean Graves, 44, is wanted on charges of grand larceny and obtaining money by false pretenses.
Graves is described as black, 5 feet 2 and 120 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
David Steed, 40, is wanted for failing to appear in court on charges that he violated probation.
Steed is described as white, 6 feet 1 and 160 pounds with long brown hair and blue eyes.
CHESAPEAKE
On Monday, Aug. 19, about 10 p.m., a security guard was shot as he patrolled in the area of Libertyville Road and Windward Place near the Harbour North apartment complex.
The guard was in a vehicle and was approached by a man with an automatic pistol, who shot him in the leg.
The victim is recovering.
