ELIHU DILLAHUNT

Elihu ``Dilly'' Dillahunt, 75, of the 500 block of Norcum Circle, died Dec. 29, 1996, in his home.

Mr. Dillahunt was born in Little Rock, Ark., and was the widower of Florence Dillahunt. He was retired from civil service and had served 20 years in the Navy. He was a member of Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and was a Sunday School teacher, Adult Men's Class (NU)1. He was also a member of Truxton Lodge (NU)199 Order of Masons; Royal Arch Mason Truxton Chapter (NU)34; Disabled American Veterans Chapter (NU)27; Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)257; Cavalier Manor Civic League; and served on many city boards. He was active in scouting and Little League programs.

Survivors include a son, James Dillahunt of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Ethel Parrish of Little Rock and Ruth Gee of East St. Louis, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and a special friend, Otelia Dorsey of Chesapeake; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, with military and Masonic honors. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, where the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. for Royal Arch Masonic Lodge ceremonies. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday.
