ANN B. GARVER

Ann Bailey Garver, of Templar Court, passed away Jan. 9, 1997, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a retired nurse and an active member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Portsmouth. She was the daughter of Frank A. Harte and Anne Davis Harte, both deceased, and the widow of Thomas W. Bailey.

Ann is survived by her husband, Paul B. Garver, and her children, Thomas W. Bailey III, Larry T. (Ted) Bailey, Barbara Bailey Smith, Shirley Bailey Sasser, and Phyllis Garver Speidell, all of Portsmouth, Nancy Garver DiPinto of Voorhees, N.J., and Paul Dean Garver of Manchester, Mo. Ann also leaves a sister, Berniece Briggs, and a brother, Frank A. Harte, both of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3300 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth. Burial will follow immediately at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Portsmouth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ann Garver Memorial Fund at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3300 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, Va. 23703.
