VIVIAN T. MARCUS

Vivian Trestman ``Cookie'' Marcus, 66, of the 5200 block of Lake Circle Drive died Jan. 16, 1997, in her residence.

A New York native, Mrs. Marcus worked side by side with her beloved husband, Sidney Marcus, who survives, in the family business. She was a member of Gomley Chesed Synagogue, a graduate of RPI, past president of Gomley Chesed Sisterhood-Hadassah, and active in Portsmouth Little Theatre in the 60s.

She was devoted mother and grandmother of two daughters, Leslie F. Sigman and her husband, Mack, of Fairfax, Va., and Ronnie A. Marcus of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Allie Brooke Dolsey, Rikki Felice Dolsey, Ian Joshua Sigman and Drew Anna Sigman. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Irvin Lyn and Dore A. Trestman.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. today in Gomley Chesed Synagogue by Rabbi Philip Krohn. Burial will be in Chevra Thilim Cemetery. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sentara Hospice Program.
