Mary Belle McCoy Thebeau, 82, of Pineview Drive died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1997, in Chowan Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.
A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Thebeau was a daughter of the late John G. and Ida G. Bond McCoy and the wife of the late Howard Louis Thebeau.
Mrs. Thebeau was a member of Albemarle Baptist Church and a member of the ladies auxiliary of VFW, Chula Vista, Calif.
She is survived by her daughter, Janette Ruiz of Edenton, N.C.; her son, Donald R. Wilson of Chula Vista; brother, John S. ``Joe'' McCoy of Edenton; two granddaughters, three grandsons and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah E. Goodman, Florence V. Brinkley and Ida G. Doerr; and a brother, Thomas C. McCoy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Evans Funeral Hope Chapel by the Rev. Greg Brinson and the Rev. Sonny Diggs. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Evans Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the Albemarle Baptist Church, 445 Soundside Drive, Edenton, N.C. 27932.
