Lina Sue Britt, 68, of the 1100 block of Mount Vernon Ave.died Jan. 21, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
A native of Southampton County, N.C., Ms. Britt was a member of Providence A.M.E. Zion Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Lillie M. Jackson of Portsmouth; two sons, Hugh Britt Jr. of Chesapeake and William C. Britt of Landover, Md.; sister, Lillian Vaughan of Murfreesboro, N.C.; two brothers, Richard C. Bynum and Gilbert Bynum, both of Portsmouth; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church, Severn, N.C., by the Rev. Ronald Morris. Burial will be in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Severn. A Wake Service will be held at Metropolitan Funeral Home, Norfolk, from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Family and friends will assemble at 1117 Mount Vernon Ave., Portsmouth, Sunday at noon for the funeral procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
