Robert Harold Burton Sr., 75, of the 8300 block of Kanter Ave., died Jan. 26, 1997.
Mr. Burton was born in Lavonia, Ga., and spent his early years in Anderson, S.C. He was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church. He retired in 1976 as president of Ingleside Enterprises, trading as Maintenance Mates, after 15 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Sophia ``Sue'' Burton; two sons, Robert H. Burton Jr. of Abingdon, Va., and Robert H. Woodard of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jean Consulyeau of Anderson, S.C.; three grandchildren, Stephanie Burton and Benjamin Burton, both of Abingdon, and Buck W. Woodard of Richmond.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Park Place United Methodist Church by the Rev. Francis E. Collins. Burial will be in Lavonia, Ga. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Park Place United Methodist Church, 500 W. 34th St., Norfolk, Va. 23508.
