Halsey Dail Paul, 94, died Monday Feb. 3, 1997 in Carteret General Hospital.
Survivors include his daughter, Margaret P. Merrick of Beaufort; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Paul was the father-in-law of the late Dr. Curt Merrick and grandfather of Dr. Anne M. Pinkerton of Norfolk.
The family will receive friends in at 1005 Front St., Beaufort. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Beaufort, by the Rev. Fred Simpson. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 403 Ann St., Beaufort, N.C. 28516 or to a charity of one's choice. Brooks Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Morehead City, is in charge.
